Port Albert is part of the Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township. The township provides a broad range of services to support daily life, including waste, recycling, and garbage collection, landfill operations, recreational facilities, community services, infrastructure development and maintenance and more.
Council Meetings
The Council meets at 82133 Council Line, on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 9:00 a.m.

Citizens of ACW can bring their concerns to council and speak for 5 minutes at the top of every meeting. To be included on the agenda, contact Clerk Florence Witherspoon at clerk@acwtownship.ca in advance to schedule a time and submit a written request detailing the topic for discussion by 12:00 p.m. on the Thursday before the meeting.
